This acquisition secures a parcel that will be the new city's first park. It lies adjacent to State Route 202 and the Sammamish River Regional Trail in King County. Future development may include interpretive facilities, a nonmotorized boat launch area, picnic areas, equestrian and pedestrian trails, and trailhead access for a regional trail.

Location:
Take I-405 north from Bellevue to SR 522, the Bothell/Monroe Exit. Turn east toward Monroe and take the first exit (Woodinville Exit) south into downtown Woodinville. Just south of the intersection of NE 175th Street and Sr. 202 (131st Ave.) the site is the vacant lot between a Jack-in-the-Box Restaurant and multi family housing adjacent to the Sammamish River.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
