Located directly along the Carbon River, there is high conservation value for wildlife including salmon, elk, and bald eagles. The historic farm site is also an important component to the view shed and experience of the regionally significant Foothills Trail which borders the front edge of the property. The preservation of the highly visible West Farm will add to the scenic views and important agricultural activities of the community.
