Description:

Chiawana Park, leased from the Army Corps of Engineers, provides both active and passive recreational opportunities. The park's greatest asset is 1.2 miles of shoreline. The east end of the park is developed with a playground, picnic sites, and support facilities. The County is currently constructing a boat launch, loading float and boat/trailer parking. Phase 2 includes development of additional facilities at the west end of the park. Emphasis will be placed on facilities for large group picnic activities. Phase 2 also includes the acquisition of .6 acres to extend the shoreline bicycle trail, which runs through the park and will eventually connect with Richland's Trail System.

Location:
Travel west on Court St (Pasco) to left on Road 88 to park. Turn left immediately on entering park to access boat launch area.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
