Description:

This project to acquire 700 acres near Sequim, in Clallam County, protects an intertidal lagoon, tidelands, beaches/dunes, forested upland, and agricultural land for waterfowl. It also provides habitat for peregrine falcons, bald eagles, critical fish stocks, and shellfish. The site is threatened by incompatible residential development.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
