Description:

Acquisition of approximately 985 acres of wetland areas to eliminate the threat of development and provide protection for numerous species of waterfowl and other wildlife. This area is a major wintering ground for dusky and cackler Canada geese. The site also supports sandhill cranes, bald eagles, marsh and red-tailed hawks, short-eared owls and great blue herons.
