Description:

County purchased 1,518 acres in the Vancouver Lake lowlands and along the lower end of Salmon Creek in southwest Clark County for urban wildlife habitat and low impact recreation. Area provides excellent bird watching opportunities and also assists with local flood prevention efforts.

From I 5 in Vancouver, exit and go west on Fourth Plain. Turn right [north] on Fruit Valley Road. Miscellaneous parcels on Vancouver Lake, Lake River, Salmon Creek, & also Columbia River.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
