This site in Klickitat county provides extremely critical habitat for a variety of endangered, threatened, and candidate species such as bald eagles, spotted frogs, sandhill cranes, geat blue herons, cavity nesting ducks, Merriuam's turkeys, pileated woodpeckers, black-tailed deer and elk. The site is considered one of the most valuable sites in Washington by amphibian experts.
