Description:

This 36 acre acquisition affords an opportunity to create a waterfront park near the west end of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. The park will provide access to 1,100 feet of shoreline including 650 feet of beach. The site contains low bank waterfront on the west side of the Narrows. This project will also receive federal funding.

Location:
Tacoma Narrows, southwest side of Tacoma Narrows Bridge. From East: Go west on Highway 16 across the Narrows Bridge. Take the Wallochet/Pt. Fosdick exit, immediately after the bridge on the right. Follow Stone Drive to the right and under the bridge to Lucille Parkway (about 0.3 mile). Turn left on Lucille Parkway and proceed to doc's Drive (about 0.3 mile). Turn right and take Doc's Drive down to the parking area near the Narrows (1 mile).

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
