Description:

This request is for the fourth development phase of the Soos Creek Trail. This project will construct 1.26 miles of trail allowing users to travel from Gary Grant Park at 208th north to NE 192nd Street. Presently, the Soos Creek Trail is complete from Lake Meridian north to Gary Grant Park. At this temporary trail end a signalized pedestrian crossing allows for safe crossing of SE 192nd Street where an existing middle school and park are located. The development phase of this request will follow the main stream of the upper Big Soos Creek traversing through upland areas and crossing wetlands. The wetland portions will be on an elevated structure to minimize wetland impacts and be made of recycled materials not subject to decay or leaching. The land needed for this development phase has already been purchased and is owned by King County.
