Description:

Design, permits, and development of an asphalt non motorized trail with associated site preparation, signage, site furnishings, storm drainage, parking, erosion control, landscaping, viewpoints, and water access. There is pressing need to provide a safe, scenic route through town, and the riverfront is the natural choice. This project will include engineering and construction of the trail and related development, such as parking, paving, signage, utility relocation, site furnishings, landscaping, fishing and water access, viewpoints, and public transit connection. The accessible trail will connect community facilities, including Cady Park, Kla Ha Ya Park, public library, future Pilchuck Recreational area, city boat launch, and Snohomish County's Centennial Trail system that connects to both King and Skagit Counties.

Location:
North bank of Snohomish River from Lincoln Avenue to the Avenue D Bridge, in the City of Snohomish.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
