Description:

This agreement involved the secured purchase of a productive peregrine falcon eyrie site near the Skagit/Whatcom County line. The 244 acre site has rock cliffs and outcrops for nesting sites and is located in a rich marine environment, providing good food sources for the falcons.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
