Description:

Acquisition is approximately 25 acres of freshwater wetlands along Clear creek insilverdale. A legal description of the parcels to be acquired is included on pages 13 thorugh 17, and is by this reference made part of this agreement. This wetland supports a stand of old-growth Sitka Spruce and second growth Douglas Fir, along with a variety of other flora and fauna. There are a number of birds and mammals living on the site including pileated woodpeckers and the Virginia rail. Future development will include interpretive trails and signs.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
