This project involves the development of a pedestrian trail between the ferry terminal at the Point Defiance boathouse and Owen Beach. Park improvements provided direct access to the shoreline, including improvements for access by the disabled.
Location:
I 5 to State Route 16. West on SR16 to Route 163. North to the entrance of Point Defiance Park. There are signs along the highway providing directions to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. The project site is along the waterfront between the Boathouse and Owens Beach. When driving, turn left at the ferry landing and continue beyond the pedestrian overpass to the parking lot at the boathouse and tackle shop.
