Description:

Acquisition of one of the six peregrine eyries located on private lands in Washington. This will provide protection for the peregrine falcon, which is federally listed as an endangered species. This eyrie is one of fourteen in the state and the federal Recovery Plan requires protection of 30 active eyries in Washington before the species will be delisted.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
