Description:

The Peltola property would add approximately 14 acres to an existing 35 acres assembled by the City of Bellevue over the last six years for a future community park south of I-90. This property is located in one of the fastest growing residential areas of the City. It is presently used, for pastureland and helps form the headwaters to Lewis Creek, an identified salmon spawning stream which flows into Lake Sammamish. In 1992, the IAC participated in the acquisition of the Robertson Property which is now part of the City's holding adjacent to the subject site.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
