Description:

The purchase of this property will provide the City's only and much needed public access to an extremely popular fishing site on the Puyallup River. The acquisition of these three contiguous lots along the river help to complete the vision to provide publicly owned river access. An additional benefit of acquiring this site is that it connects to Puyallup's multi-modal Riverwalk trail. The site is directly adjacent to the Milwaukee/5th Street Bridge, one of three (3) bridges that cross the river in Puyallup. The site has excellent access and visibility.

Exit Interstate 5 to Highway 512 east. Exit at Pioneer Avenue in Puyallup. Left on Pioneer Avenue to 5th Street NE. Right on 5th Street NE to 8th Avenue NE. Left on 8th Avenue NE. Proceed around the block (staying to the right) to 9th Avenue NE where 9th Ave NE dead ends, subject property on the left.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
