Description:

Scope of the project includes acquisition of trail corridor across two private parcels and a formal use agreement on DOT land. 5,000 feet of paved trail and a parallel horse path will be constructed. In addition the sponsor will create a hedgerow for wildlife habitat and improve an existing trestle with safety rails and new decking.

Location:
This section of Olympic Discovery Trail in eastern Sequim lies just north of Highway 101 from the Simdars Interchange, across the Johnson Creek Railroad Trestle, to White Feather Way.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
