Description:

Acquisition of the Old Mill Site, which is comprised of two parcels totalling 6.97 acres in Silverdale, Washington. The Old Mill Site is located at the extreme northernmost point of Dyes Inlet, at the mouth of Clear Creek. The property contains freshwater wetlands, estuarine wetlands, and saltwater shoreline. The Old Mill Site will serve as a critical link, connecting the Clear Creek Trail with the future Dyes Inlet Shoreline Trail. Development plans call for a passive park design, featuring trails and interpretive signage highlighting the variety of wildlife habitats that are present on the site. Parking and restrooms will also be provided.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
