Description:

Purchase of 2.5 acres to provide an outdoor play area adjacent to the Northeast Tacoma Community Center. This purchase would complete an acquisition program to provide 19.5 acres of public recreation area in this rapidly growing part of the city. Future development of the site would include outdoor recreation facilities to compliment the facilities included in the center.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
