Description:

This acquisition of 106 acres and 5,260 lineal feet of river frontage is the second phase of a major regional park on the South Fork of the Nooksack River. When completed, this park will have over five miles of river frontage and approximately 700 acres of uplands. This will allow for much needed river access, trails, fishing, camping, and day use areas. We have a property owner donating half the value of the land to Whatcom County.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
