Description:

To acquire 6.8 acres of waterfront property for the first park in West Poulsbo. This area is a growing, multifamily and single family neighborhood, with a stretch of commercial development through the middle. The site offers a significant opportunity to enhance shoreland and upland habitat areas. This will include improvements to the Liberty Bay/Dogfish Creek aquatic habitat with interpretive signage; protecting water quality; providing areas for small recreational (non motorized) watercraft; providing a missing link to the footpath around Liberty Bay; and creating an area for other passive activities including picnic areas, playgrounds, and parking.

Location:
Take the Finn Hill road exit off of Highway 3 "north". Turn right on Finn Hill Road and proceed down the hill, through the stoplight, and turn right into an unmarked driveway directly behind the "JRO Insurance" building. This driveway runs into the Nelson Property at 317 NW Lindvig Way.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
