In the Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area [NRCA], this project secured 502 acres of the most critical lands threatened by mining and residential development. Mount Si NRCA is unique because of its large, relatively undisturbed area with rugged terrain, diverse ecosystems, large mammals, outstanding scenery, and recreation opportunities within 25 minutes of the Seattle Bellevue metro area.

Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area is directly east of the city of North Bend. Get off Interstate 90 at exit 34 and go north, make left on North Bend Way, make right on Mount Si Road, proceed approximately 3 miles to trail head.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
