Construction of an underpass for the Burke Gilman Trail at 68th Avenue NE, a busy intersection near Kenmore. The underpass provides a safe crossing and connects the Burke Gilman Trail with the Sammamish River Trail, which, combined, host 1.3 million users annually.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
