Description:

This project will acquire a 4.27 acre neighborhood park in a rapidly growing residential area known as Maple Crest. This project provides the only park site in the Maple Crest service area, which has a population of 4,670. The site includes gently rolling terrain with mature Douglas fir along the south boundary and is ideal for neighborhood park development. Future improvements will include walkways, play equipment, picnic tables, sports court, and open play meadows.

Location:
Drive east on NE 18th Street from Harmony School to NE 187th Ave. Drive 1/2 mile north to 28th Street. Park is located south of 28th Street at intersection with 182nd Avenue.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
