Description:
This project is for the acquisition and development of a 12 mile, multipurpose trail system that connects 55 acre Lucia Falls Park and 354 acre Moulton Falls Park on the East Fork of the Lewis River and DNR's Cold Creek Campground. The Lucia to Moulton Falls segment covers 3 miles and involves a 12 foot wide asphalt trail with flat contours. The cold Creek segment covers 9 miles and involves a 4 food wide natural trail. Cold Creek Campground provides handicapped accessible trails, picnic tables, and viewpoints. Cold Creek Campground also serves as a trailhead for the 30 mile Tarbell Loop Trail.

Project trailheads are located at Lucia Falls and Moulton Falls Regional Parks 2 miles south of the town of Yacolt on NE Lucia Falls Road. Also, dirve 4 miles north of Battle Ground on SR 503; then drive 5 miles east via Rock Creek Road/NE 152nd Avenue/NE Lucia Falls Road to trailhead locations at Lucia and Moulton Falls.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
