Description:

Larkspur Meadows contains the largest population of both an endangered plant (Wenatchee Larkspur) and a threatened plant (Oregon Checkermallow). This area is very scenic and is under heavy development pressure for residential and vacation homesites. Purchase of the remaining properties within this site protected the rare plant species and the scenic meadowland from ecologically incompatible development.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
