Description:

This project will acquire a 5.17-acre neighborhood park located in a heavily developed residential area in west Vancouver known as Lakeshore. The service area includes approximately 4,000 people, and consists mostly of single-family housing. The neighborhood is fully developed, and the project site provides the only opportunity in the service area for a neighborhood park that meets the city's minimum size standard of 3 acres. The project site consists of a flat open meadow, with no wetlands or other limiting conditions. Future improvements will include multi-use sports fields, walking trails, children's play equipment, picnic tables, and sports court.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
