Lake Goodwin Park
Description:
Formerly a derelict resort and tavern property, this project will re-establish the historic access to the site's lake shoreline. Among the facilities provided will be: 1) A 58-stall parking area (with 30 overflow spaces), and a designated bus parking zone: 2) Restroom building in the day-use beach area; 3) Children's play area; 4) 300- foot fishing and swimming area dock with shelter; 5) 350 l.f. of shoreline boardwalk (with viewing areas) incorporated into a stream and wetland enhancement program; 6) Three picnic shelters; 7) 1200 l.f. of trails, incl. one bridge); 8) 300 l.f. of swimming beach frontage. ADA (disabled access) design criteria will be applied throughout the entire site development.
