Description:

Snohomish County will acquire 12.17 acres of property, including 947 feet of waterfront on Lake Goodwin in northwest Snohomish County. This is a rare opportunity for the County to acquire waterfront property and create a county park that will provide recreational facilities for swimming and wading, fishing, picnicking, and RV and tent camping. The property has unique historic value. For many years, Snohomish County residents camped at what was known as Leonard's Resort which occupied the desired property. The ultimate development of the property will depend on a citizen participation and master planning process that will encourage the input of local residents. The acquisition will assist in satisfying the resource activity needs identified in the Snohomish County Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan.
