Description:

Kanaskat-Palmer State Park is a 262-acre camping park on a small, low plateau in a natural forest setting in King County. The park has two miles of shoreline on the Green River. Shoreline activities include small boat hand-launch, nature appreciation, trout fishing and picnicking. The park currently offers 50 campsites. This project will double the camping opportunities by developing a second 50-unit campground loop. Most of the sites will be able to accommodate modern recreational vehicles and will include electrical hookups. Some sites may be set aside for use by walk-in tent campers who arrive by auto, bike or foot. A comfort station with showers will be located in the center of the campground loop. Final quantities depend on detailed design as dictated by site configuration.

Location:
Take SR 410 to Enumclaw. Turn north on Farman Rd. [at the pickle factory]. Follow that road, whose name changes, past Nolte state park, through Cumberland, then an additional 2+ miles to the park entrance.
