Description:

Unique saltwater acquisition of nine acres and 1,430 feet of shoreline--this site is an excellent extensnion of the very popular Whatcom County Interurban Trail System and fits well into the overall master plan. This parcel is currently listed on the open real estate market and due to the fact that a large number of residential homes have been built over the past five years makes the acquisition of critical importance. Shoreline access on Puget Sound in Whatcom County is only 5% of the total shoreline. Whatcom County's 1988 Comprehension Park and Recreation Open Space Plan recommends the goal of increasing accessible public shoreline by 15% over the next ten years.
