Description:

Every biennium, opportunities arise for State Parks to obtain small, relatively low cost, properties. Receipt of this grant will allow acquisition of properties that may be key to protecting or enhancing an existing park. These parcels are typically too small to compete effectively as an individual acquisition. Previous acquisitions have obtained valuable additions to existing parks, alleviated the risk of neighbors converting adjoining land to uses incompatible with park purposes, and improved access to park land.
