Description:

This agreement involves the construction of interpretive trails, boardwalks, and viewing platforms to provide access to 70 acres of saltmarsh and freshwater wetlands in Mason County. Improvements also include signs, picnic tables, and a vault toilet. This innovative partnership project provides significant educational opportunities for the school district’s children.

Within the city limits of Belfair, ten miles southwest of Bremerton.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
