Because of the high need, both Vancouver and Clark County have identified Hockinson Park as the highest priority community park acquisition project in the entire Vancouver urban area. The site includes open meadows and pasture, and large stands of mixed mature forest that include Douglas fir, cedar, oak, maple, and alder.
