Grayland Beach - Ticor

WWRP Applicant: State Parks
RCO Project Number: 98-1068
County: Pacific
Legislative District: 19th
WWRP Category: State Parks
WWRP Grant: $117,723
Project Type: Acquisition
Date Funded: 1999

Description:

This 15 acre parcel with 1320 feet of ocean beach waterfront is a continuation of the acquisition of the conservation area lying along the Pacific Ocean. It will add to the current ownership of 433 acres and 7700 feet of waterfront in Grayland Beach State Park. The consolidation of the Grayland park site is necessary to add more camping and complete the master plan for development at the park. This is essential to provide for public recreation. As the Pacific Ocean beach is a unique resource, major sections have been acquired for public use. Failure to fill in holes in state ownership will lead to disjointed land management and conflicting developments.
