Friends Landing is a 152 acre recreation site that is being developed to provide special opportunities for people with disabilities. Development includes 1.7 miles of trail, four fishing docks, a barrier free swim beach, interpretive signs with speaker boxes, and barrier free access to a dock on the Chehalis River.

Exit Hwy 12 at Devonshire Road, travel south to the left on Katon Road to the end of the county road (approximately 1.3 miles). The road becomes Friends Landing.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
