Acquisition and development of a 2.58 mile, multipurpose trail system that will connect Frenchman's Bar Park (180 acres) on the Columbia River and Vancouver Lake Park (234 acres). The project is a key element within the 12 mile Columbia River Renaissance trail system. The project will serve an urban area population of 194,000 and a county wide population of 270,000.

Travel 3 miles west from downtown Vancouver on Fourth Plain/Lower River Road (SR501) to Vancouver Lake Park. Project extends from Vancouver Lake Park to Frenchman's Bar Park along the Vancouver Lake Flushing Channel.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
