Description:

The acquisition of up to 200 acres of habitat spawning grounds for coho and chum salmon. The Fortson Ponds annually produce 5 to 9 percent of the total coho smolt production in the Stillaguamish drainage. A variety of other species depend on the ponds for habitat. Project is approsimately 8 miles west of Darrington.
