Description:

This project involves the development of a 14-acre community park located in a rapidly developing residential area known as Felida. The project will more than triple the amount of developed urban parkland in the service area, and will provide a wide range of outdoor recreation facilities, including a basketball court, play equipment, benches, picnic tables, walking paths, viewpoints, multipurpose playfields, signing, landscaping, irrigation, restrooms, and parking. Over 25,000 people currently live within the service area, and the population is expected to increase to over 45,000 at build out. This project will provide the first community park facility in the service area, and has extensive support from neighborhood associations, sports groups, and business organizations.

Drive north on NW 36th Avenue to 127th Street. Turn west on 127th Street. Park site is located on south side of 127th, approximately 1/4 mile west of 36th Avenue.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
