This project involves the phase 1 development of a 49 acre regional park at the site of the historic WDFW Vancouver Trout Hatchery, which was built by WPA crews in 1938/39. The project site includes 31 acres owned by WDFW and 18 acres owned by Clark County. The property is located near the Columbia River in south-central Vancouver and will serve an urban area population of over 200,000. Improvements will include picnic tables, picnic shelter, children's play equipment, and bike trails, parking and restrooms. This project provides a unique opportunity to for a wide range of outdoor recreation facilities at the site of an operating, historically important fish hatchery. The project will serve a wide range of age groups and will provide high-quality fishing opportunities for physically challenged youth and adults in ponds located on the property.

Evergreen Fisheries Park is located on the north side of the Old Evergreen Highway .5 mile east of Ellsworth Road. The site includes the historic WDFW Vancouver Trout Hatchery.
