Description:

This acquisition involves the purchase of two parcels totaling 4.48 acres. The parcels are currently leased to the County until May 31,2002, with the County having first option to purchase. The owners would like to see these parcels become a park. They have received numerous offers to purchase from developers since sewer has been installed in the street. The long range master plan identifies the improvements to enhance Wade Park by lowering levee, modifying the drainage ditch by creating a pond, relocating a regional bike path, walkways, picnic hill, picnic shelter, restroom, parking, landscaping, and irrigation.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
