Description:

This project will develop a 2-acre neighborhood park in a densely populated residential neighborhood of East Vancouver. The park's service area is fully developed, and includes approximately 3,500 residents. In addition, there are no other park or recreation facilities, or public open spaces, within the service area. The park site will be co-located with the City of Vancouver's East Precinct Police Station. Park improvements will include a skatepark, basketball court, picnic tables, children's play equipment, benches, and walking paths.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
