This acquisition in Kitsap County of over 500 acres of stream ravines, timber rights, estuarine and tideland areas will protect lands critical to recovery of weak salmon stocks in various streams along Hood Canal. Coho stocks are depressed and early chum stocks are critically low, necessitating coastal fishing restrictions.
