Description:

The purpose of this project is to design and construct a non motorized trail network within Cypress Island Natural Resources Conservation Area [NRCA], located in Skagit County. Includes installation of pit toilet facilities, as well as interpretive, educational, and directional signs.

Location:
Cypress Island is located just NW of Anacortes in Skagit County. This project converted roads to trails, developed new trails, and completed interpretive and trail signing throughout the trail system.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
