Description:

The Town of Creston would like to build an outdoor recreational facility that includes two (2) tennis Courts, one multi-purpose court and a 9,000 square foot skate park with a mini half pipe, grind rails and bank ramps on an existing 18" cement pad. This project received the highest priority from the residents of the Town of Creston and the Creston School District. This area includes Creston (253) and the unincorporated towns of Lincoln (210) and Seven Bays (256). The Creston School has a small play area and a football/baseball field which are the only active recreational facilities in town. The nearest tennis courts are 8 miles west in Wilbur and the site of the current home courts for the Wilbur/Creston tennis team. The courts are in severe need of repair with no plans to do so. The proposed tennis courts in our project will be the new home courts for this team and will serve both communities in the future. The skate park will be the only one located in Lincoln County. The nearest ones are about 50 miles east (Airway Heights) and West (Wilson Creek). The multi-purpose court would serve the Creston School District Area. Parking will be on the road right of way to the east and west of the project. The road to the west is gravel and the road to the east is paved with rolled curbing. Cement approaches will be provided to the facility. Although there are no restroom facilities at this location, we will use the restrooms at the Creston Town Hall Park or rent an ADA accessible port-a-potty.
