Description:

This agreement is for the acquisition of 45 acres in three separate private ownerships linked the existing public parcels into a single management unit. This Columbia River park site near Washougal includes access to two miles of beach and enough land to provide for a wide variety of recreation experiences in later development.

Location:
Proceed upstream on Washougal River Road from City of Washougal to site located on the south side of the river, in the vicinity of the Southeast corner of the Vernon Road Bridge. Cross Vernon Bridge and proceed short distance to left on Balcony Rd [the river's Balcony subdivision] and proceed to end of pavement. It's another 150 yds to gate and sign. Park at end of pavement in turn around.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
