Description:

The proposed development project is for Cedar Grove Park, a community park in the northern portion (Snohomish County) of the City of Bothell. This park is being developed in two phases: This phase includes construction of playground, picnic facilities, walking paths, restroom facilities, parking lot basketball court & informal playfield. A future phase will complete the park by adding a formal multi-use sports field, additional off-street parking and other features. There are presently 19 developed parks in the City of Bothell of which 18 are in the southern (King County) portion of the City. While the City's population is fairly evenly split between the King and Snohomish County portions (16,290 or 54% in Snohomish County), there is only one developed park in the Snohomish County portion. Cedar Grove Park is located in the fastest growing part of the City with recreation areas limited to the local elementary and junior high schools. The City's current level of service is 2.4 acres per 1,000 population with the goal being 4.5 acres per 1,000 population. The development of Cedar Grove Park will bring the City to 75.27 acres of developed park land.
