Description:

This project completes acquisition along Griffin Bay in San Juan County of over 1,000 feet of waterfront containing the last unprotected portion of Third Lagoon. This site, which is used by bald eagles, links DNR and National Park Service lands, ensures continued public enjoyment of waterfront trails, and protects an important scientific area.

Location:
Bounded by American Camp Natinal Park, Cattle Point NRCA, Fish Creek, and Griffin Bay.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
