Description:

This project involves the creation of a much needed park for the community. The .67 acre site is covered with hazardous trees which must be removed. The park will be outfitted with playground equipment, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, benches, a group shelter and open space. The park will be landscaped and parking will be available. The design of this facility will make it safe and accessible to people with disabilities.

From the north, turn right off of Hwy 165 into the Town of Carbonado. Take first right which will be Farm Street. Go approximately 2 blocks and the park will be on the left.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
