Description:

Cama Beach Resort is one mile north of Camano Island State Park and has been closed to public access since 1988. The resort property includes one mile of sand and gravel beach front. The remaining facilities and utilities will provide many recreational activities including fishing, shellfish harvest, day use, environmental education, and camping. This project is the third and final phase in the acquisition process. It will acquire property located within Cama Bay at the beach level including several resort buildings. Part of the donations will include property which is located atop the sand bluff located at the north end of the property.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
